Annagreth and Josias Jenny

Annagreth and Josias Jenny’s organic farm is one of the largest in the valley. In 1994, the two were able to take over the farm from Annagreth’s parents and have expanded it considerably over the years, from seven to almost 40 hectares. A new free-range stable with a photovoltaic system produces electricity, generating additional income. The barn is populated by beautiful Piedmontese cows. Josias Jenny is one of few farmers who keep this interesting breed in Switzerland. Because the clientele has been asking for more lean, tender meat over time, Jenny started looking for an appropriate breed and came across the bright northern Italians. The majority of Jenny’s products are sold in their own small farm shop “BärgPur”, which Annagreth runs together with her niece in nearby Küblis. Here, customers find a lot of food, nice souvenirs as well as small, handmade gifts.
